Creator Studio Privacy Policy

Shopsense AI Inc. ("Shopsense," "we," "us," or "our") built the Shopsense Creator Studio app ("App") to help creators manage AI-powered storefronts. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

Account Information When you create an account or are provisioned access through a partner platform, we collect your name, email address, profile photo (if provided), and account credentials.

Content You Submit You submit content through the App for AI product matching: this may include images, captions, links, and other media. We store this content to generate and maintain your storefront.

Storefront and Curation Data We collect data about the products you accept, reject, or modify through the curation process. This includes your collections, edits, and publishing decisions.

Usage Data We collect information about how you use the App: features accessed, session duration, actions taken, and in-app interactions. This helps us improve the product.

Device and Technical Data We automatically collect device type, operating system, app version, IP address, and crash/error data when you use the App.

Partner Platform Data If your access is provisioned through a partner (such as Opendorse), we may receive basic profile data from that partner to set up your account.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect to:

Operate and deliver the App, including generating product matches and storefront content for you
Improve and train our AI models (see Section 3 below)
Communicate with you about your account, product updates, and support requests
Monitor for fraud, abuse, and security issues
Comply with legal obligations
Analyze usage patterns to improve the App

3. AI Model Training

We use content you submit and feedback signals (such as which product matches you accept or reject) to train and improve our AI systems. This makes the product more accurate over time, for you and for all creators on the platform.

If you do not want your data used for model training, you can opt out by emailing support@shopsense.ai with the subject line "Model Training Opt-Out." We will honor this request within 30 days and will not use new submissions for training purposes. Previously processed data that has already been incorporated into trained models cannot be removed.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only in these circumstances:

Service Providers We work with third-party vendors who help us operate the App: cloud hosting, analytics, email delivery, and customer support tools. These vendors process data only on our behalf and under data processing agreements.

Partner Platforms If your access is provisioned through a partner organization (such as Opendorse), we share your storefront performance data with that partner as part of the service. Review your partner's privacy policy to understand how they use this data.

Retail and Affiliate Partners Your published storefront links are associated with affiliate tracking IDs through our retail partner network. Retailers receive standard affiliate tracking data (click and transaction data) when a purchase occurs through your storefront. No personally identifiable information beyond what is standard in affiliate transactions is shared.

Legal Requirements We may disclose your data if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Shopsense, our users, or the public.

Business Transfers If Shopsense is acquired or merges with another company, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you if this occurs.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and content data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance reasons.

Usage and technical data may be retained in aggregated, anonymized form after account deletion.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate data
Deletion: Request that we delete your personal data
Portability: Request your data in a portable format
Opt-out of training: As described in Section 3

To exercise any of these rights, email support@shopsense.ai. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.

California Residents (CCPA/CPRA) California residents have additional rights including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to opt out of sale (we do not sell personal information), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights.

EEA and UK Residents (GDPR) If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, our legal basis for processing your data is: performance of a contract (operating the App), legitimate interests (improving our AI and preventing fraud), and consent (where indicated). You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is completely secure. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. Contact us at support@shopsense.ai if you believe a child has provided us with personal information.

9. Third-Party Links and Services

Your published storefront and any integrated partner platforms are governed by their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
