About the Role

We’re looking for a driven and entrepreneurial Account Executive to own and grow our relationships with performance buyers across retail media, search, and affiliate channels. In this role, you’ll be the primary point of contact for these performance buyers, helping them connect their products with highly relevant content environments across our publisher network. You’ll work with investment, activation, and trading teams to evangelize our commerce solutions and drive adoption. This will include building strategic, multi-pronged partnerships that extend across marketing budgets, retail media networks, and onsite monetization. Success in this role looks like growing retailer and brand diversity within our exchange, deepening relationships with key decision-makers, and helping retailers and brands show up authentically within the content their customers already love.

What You’ll Do

  • Strategic Partnerships: Identify and pursue multi-pronged retailer partnerships that span performance marketing, retail media networks (RMN), and onsite monetization opportunities.
  • Build & Grow Retailer Relationships: Develop and manage a pipeline of retail performance buyers, with a focus on investment and activation teams across retail media and search budgets.
  • Consultative Selling: Uncover client priorities and objectives, and design content-to-commerce activations that align their products with relevant, high-intent editorial and video content environments.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 4+ years in digital advertising sales, with a strong focus on performance channels (retail media, search).
  • Industry Relationships: Established relationships with decision-makers at retail brands or their agencies, particularly within investment and activation teams.
  • Channel Expertise: Hands-on experience selling into one or more of search, retail media, or affiliate budgets - search and retail media experience strongly preferred.
  • Buying Model Fluency: Strong understanding of CPC and CPM buying models and how retail advertisers think about allocating budgets across channels.
  • Entrepreneurial/Builder Mindset: Comfortable and thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Hybrid: While Shopsense is a remote company, our expectation is that you will be meeting with prospects and clients in person 1-2x/week.
